Indoor
Ideal for narrow soffit areas.
5″ long SR25 Can Lights are UL certified for use with a fire-rated, non-insulated ceiling.
SST holds patents on its SR25 and SR50 series fixtures. SST also holds patents on the LED modules used for the SR25 and SR50 Can Lights fixtures. The LED modules are easily replaceable and upgradable. The power supplies associated with SST’s LED fixtures are located remotely from the lights being serviced.
The SR25 series Can light and the SR50 series Can Lights (Down Lights) are ideal for new construction, in place of 60W equivalent incandescent or halogen light fixtures . They Do Not Require a Recessed Can Housing for Installation, therefore are much easier to install than the traditional can housing that is 20 times larger.
SR25 series can lights are often used for custom fiber lights, roof soffit, or for a custom lighting layout.
The recessed can housing of the SR25 Can light measures 1″ in diameter, 4″ (non fire-rated) or 5″ (fire-rated) in height.
The standard LEDs (20W – 60W Halogen equivalent), or LEDs with an adapter to couple optical fibers, are threaded into the housing.
SR50 series can lights are UL Type IC certified for fire-rated, insulated ceilings. They can be made waterproof. They can be installed in small spaces, indoors and outdoors and can be mounted in virtually any building material. Smart lighting control and Emergency lighting wiring are available.
The standard can housing of the SR50 measures 2″ in diameter and 2″ in height.
The Standard white LEDs (20W – 60W Halogen equivalent, with color temperature options of 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4100K ), Color Tuning white LEDs (color temperature continuously change from 2500K to 6000K), or RGB Color Changing LEDs are threaded into the housing. They can be easily replaced or upgraded at site.
The SR50 standard can light in the image below shows a classroom lighting installation completed at the Peaslee Center in Lawrence, Kansas. The SR50 lights used in the installation provide an even lighting level throughout the classroom. SR50 lights can be arranged in infinite ways. Different layouts (with the same number of fixtures) can increase or decrease the average lighting level in a room. Some different layout examples are also shown below:
The SR50 Recessed can light looks like 2″ halogen can, but provides more power and better coverage than the 2″ halogen can.
The SR50 Rotate-able can lights (provide directable lighting) are often used to bright up a wall, highlight the pictures on the wall, be easily installed to a vaulted ceiling, or installed to a retaining wall or underneath a bench.
